Protaras offers a wide selection of restaurants from the traditional Greek-Cypriot cuisine to international options of American, Chinese, Indian and Italian. The majority of the locatl restaurants are found on the main Protaras Avenue in the centre of Protaras.

Do try one of the many local popular dishes including Yalanci Dolma, which is vine leaves stuffed with rice, onions and tomatoes; Sish Kebab which is marinated lamb, skewered and grilled over charcoal and Musakka, layers of mince, potatoes and aubergines baked in the oven with a cheese topping.

Good value for money and an ideal way to try the local cuisine is a Meze, which is generally shared by two people and include a selection of small courses, similar to Spanish tapas.
