Only 3 miles away from Protaras one can find the Kapparis resort which borders with Northern Cyprus and the ‘ghost’ town of Famagusta. You can see the old port of Famagusta city which until the Turkish occupation in 1974 was the main port of Cyprus. Famagusta area has the softest golden sandy beaches.
